Week 14: Ashliman

Week 15: Crane

I'm most interested in learning more about Asian mythology. Growing up, my mom had several movies depicting the Monkey King and his tales. I can easily say that it has been over a decade since I've seen any of his tales and adventures so I'm excited to learn more about him. I don't think there are any mythology topics that aren't covered in the UnTextbook that I would like to read about. There were significantly more topics available to us to read than I initially expected before I started looking through the many different stories. Additionally, I'm interested to learn more about the Iliad and Odyssey since I have previously read them for my high school senior English class. I'm also keen to learn more about King Arthur and Robin Hood since those are two prominent stories that I've held a lot about.

I chose this particular image of the Monkey King because I have had experiences watching some of his adventures as I was growing up as a child. I'm most excited to read the related stories and further my understanding of him.
