Story 1 || 2 sentences: The skunk whom was most formidable, yet never satisfied. The skunk, now bestowed with a horrendous stench, walks alone. Story 2 || 280 characters: The skunk was first given black and white fur to hide him from his enemies. Given his fur but still not satisfied, he asked for more. Given his new sharper teeth and longer claws but still not satisfied, he asked for more. More he got in the form of a horrible stench that he now must bear. Teaching children that their intelligence and abilities are finite or fixed results in children who hardly try in academia, sports, or even hobbies. Stories from Vietnam: I'm very interested in learning more about Stories from Vietnam because my family is Vietnamese. I want to learn more about the stories from my culture, and this topic will provide a great opportunity. I currently have no previous knowledge about Vietnamese mythology and folklore, but I would like to learn more about the stories that have been passed down from generation to generation. I'm curious to learn more about the stories of the Vietnamese dragon , Thánh Gióng , and Liễu Hạnh . Once upon a time, as Felgar Hall was first being built, a terrible accident happened in the basement. A concrete pillar came crashing down and a foreman was crushed. In the coming months, the construction team decided to continue on with the building process, paving over the foreman's crushed body. His body became entombed in Room 114, buried deep within the basement of Felgar Hall. One night, as a janitor was mopping the dirty floors, he heard mumbling emanating from the door of Room 114. As he came up to the window in the door, he saw the ghost of the foreman from all those years ago. The ghost begged to be let out of his tomb that is Room 114. The Room had never been opened ever since it was sealed back all those years ago. He craved to be set free of his prison. The janitor, weary of what would happen if he set the ghost free, hesitated to open the door. The ghost assured him that no harm would befall upon him. My favorite story from the reading anthology was the story about the Trickers: Tiger, Brahman, and Jackal.  I loved how condensed the story was, yet it was able to convey such a fine level of detail regarding the characters and plot. This story was one of the longer ones found in this week's reading anthology. The story consists of three main characters: a tiger, a Brahman, and a jackal. The story begins with a tiger caught in a trap. Desperate for freedom, he claws and struggles at the cage bars but to no avail. Then, a Brahman comes by, to which the tiger begs for release. Realizing the inherent dangers of releasing a tiger, the Brahman hesitates to open the cage. The tiger pleads that he will be of no harm, and so the Brahman opens the cage. Open release, the tiger seizes the poor Brahman and tricks the Brahman for his next meal. The Brahman pleads for his life, only to be left with the promise that he will abide by the decision of the first three things he encounters along ...

My initial approach to scheduling time to work on this class's assignments revolved any free time I had outside of classes. I am typically on campus early in the day so I set aside time on Monday and Tuesday to work on this class's assignments. Additionally, since I have no classes scheduled on Wednesday of every week, I scheduled to finish up this class's weekly assignments at that point. Since I am also doing extra credit assignments to get ahead in the class and potentially finish early, I also have work on scheduling time to do those assignments every week. Since each week might have irregular scheduling due to my Capstone class and related activities, I have decided to just do the extra credit assignments in any free time I may find and follow my original proposed schedule for core assignments. For this post, I used the following article: A Growth Mindset Fuels Creativity in Youth This particular article confirmed that a growth mindset helps people continue to learn and try new things to succeed. From my Principles of Engineering Design class last semester, I had already learned about the importance of maintaining a growth mindset in order to further grow and develop as an engineer in my future career. This article also enlightened me with information that I did not previously consider. For example, the article states how being open to new ideas brings about different perspectives that can help solve problems that require nonrigid ideological thinking. Instead of being so fixed on one perspective, I'm going to try my best to consider other aspects of the problem, and consider other ideas that may arise in order to solve future problems in my career. The Text to Voice tool is quite useful, especially when it comes to reading long articles or proofreading your own writing. I do not currently use any audio tools like this, but I have used them quite extensively in the past for previous English class projects to catch spelling errors or grammatical issues. I stopped using voice-to-text tools because I realized they were often quite slow and difficult to listen to. However, the Text to Voice tool for Chrome has many customizable features to accommodate different readers and writers to perfectly suit individual needs. I currently do not use any other text-to-voice tools, so I don't particularly have a preference. However, I have found that the Chrome extension for text to voice is useful and quite customizable to suit different people. Personally, I have not listened to audiobooks before, but many of my friends prefer to listen to audiobooks in the car instead of the radio.
